Coffee and pastries for breakfast thats how every morning starts here. Then Brenda and I are off to the orphanage. We got there just in time for bathing. It was so hot and muggy in there by the time we were finished that we (Brenda and I) wanted to get outside to fresh air. I took one of my favorites,. a little boy that has been adopted by a Morrocan family that is just waiting for paper work. He is sick as is 99% of the others so all he wanted to do was sleep they would not want him to do that because of the schedule they keep but since I was in charge I took him out cuddled him up and let him sleep for two hours. I witnessed my first verbal dissagreement in arabic today ,two of the women did not agree on the disipline for a little girl and they went at it ,even slamming the door, then one cried and now she has been moved to another room. I saw her later, she was still upset so I hugged her and gave her a kiss on each cheek (thats how they express here). Lunch today was not my favorite Im not quite sure what some of the dishes were. Brenda is now in bed sick from being around all those sick babies. We had a class here this afternoon on Islam, very interesting....especially getting it straight from the source. I enjoyed very much his perspective on our country, Bush politics etc. The teacher was a little late because he received a phone call and was given his visa today. Some of us made plans today for a weekend trip we will be leaving friday for Marrakesh by way of train (4 hour one way) shopping and exploring then to return on Sunday. I asked about taking pictures at the orphanage today but NO ...with a very stern look. Maybe I will try another day and see if they will let me outside. This is an opportunity I would like you all to consider. The rewards even in these few short days are HUGE. Brenda and I found out all about the adoption process , and she is considering it ......the ladies keep bringing the little girl that she has her eye on to her ,they want the babies/children to get adopted ,they know thats their only chance in this life.It would take about 3 mnths but she would choose the child while she is here. Then she would return pick her up and off they go.There is no middle class here a lot of poverty or the very wealthy,as far as people out and about we mostly see poor. The unemplyoment is very highand every day ther are hundreds of job seekers picketing the parliment building. Still learning and still loving it.....Laura

I have checked the blog three times today just to see what you have encountered. It is my pill for enduring our separation. You simply amaze me on you love for adventure. Keep sharing your experiences with us. I love you! Sud
Hi I am home now. Cooleys brought me supper tonight, so I ate and then taggie and I went and visited with mom and dad. They are doing good. Mom fell and bumped her head, now she has black eyes. She is doing okay. She says the food is good and has good flavor. Dad asked me tonight if I knew that mom was here? I said oh yes, you both live here now and he said oh. Taggie is restless when we go to bed, he is on my feet, on your pillow, behind my back and then back to your pillow. We really miss you and love you sooooooo much. You make me so proud.
Sud and Taggie oh yeah Ghiradeli and goat goat "mommmmmmy"
